Putting it on blast in my sweater set

Last night was my work Christmas party....

The weather forecast had been unpredictable, first they said it would be in the 80s then Friday night the forecast changed to "chilly!"

All that made picking out an outfit especially tough....

I finally decided on a sweater...

Here are some of my friends...Melissa, Sara and Kristy.

As our door prize we each got to take home an ornament off the tree....

WELL...the other husbands at our table picked out pretty colored balls to go with the ones that their wives picked out....

But not Brian...he picked out this dagger-looking icicle ornament that he swears looks like a seashell.

As we were getting ready to leave the party I was holding our ornaments and ACCIDENTALLY dropped Brian's beloved dagger icicle and it broke in two.

I'm not sure Brian will ever forgive me.

After the party a few girls were heading over to a bar called Rockstar where Legion of Doom, a heavy metal band was playing.

They wanted us to come but....

you can't go to a heavy metal bar in a sweater set!!

So instead we headed over to Baker's Street pub...where I put it on full blast in my cute little sweater set!

Sara gave me a suction cup compass to put in my car because we've discussed many times how directionally challenged we are (and that our cars are not fancy enough to have a built in compass). And if we at least knew which was North.....

So Melissa was wondering....which way is Canada?
