May...was a busy month.
I spent most of the month studying/ last minute cramming
for my nurse practitioner board exam.
And Brian spent a ton of hours at work
and the rest of time trying to keep me calm.
Finally, on May 20 I took and passed my board exam!
I was so incredibly relieved to have that huge weight off my shoulders....
I could finally put away the study books and get to
work on baby stuff!!
But first we had a few trips to take!
The next day we flew to Texas to surprise Brian's dad for his 65th Birthday.
It was a fun trip!

While in Kerrville, I stopped to take a picture of the parking lot
at First Baptist where Brian asked for my phone number....
mmmm....almost 8 years ago.
What a good memory.

Brian's mom pulled out some of his old baby things....
Oh how I would love to see Baby Brian
in these sweet yellow knickers!!

Then we were off to Ohio,
then home, then it was time for my official PNP graduation.
A few people were no-shows so I ended up getting to sit next to my friend
Megan during the ceremony.
Probably the best part of the day!

No...the picture isn't adding 10 lbs....
my graduation gown was actually that un-flattering!
I had to laugh at how huge it was!

Nancy had a baby this spring and apparently something
she told me was quite shocking....
I'm guessing it was related to how little a 6 week old sleeps!
I like this one because dear Megan always keeps me laughing...
she's been such a support to me while pregnant.
She always makes me laugh about whatever is going on and
reminds me to not take anything too seriously.

After graduation my parents took us for a weekend getaway
to Snoqualmie Falls....it was gorgeous and relaxing.
to Snoqualmie Falls....it was gorgeous and relaxing.
And this guy...
I just couldn't have done it without him.
His belief in me has carried me through the past 2 years of grad school...
There were so many times when I felt overwhelmed, worn out and
just not up to the task.
He reminded me a million times "yes, you CAN do this!".
He encouraged me to keep studying, keep trying,
and when necessary to just call it a night...
and start over tomorrow morning.
And he was such a good sport when it came to
overcoming my greatest challenge....
the teenage boy pre-participation sports physical.
This guy has endured more sports physicals
than any man should!
Whew! I think we're both glad that is over!
Thanks B.....for everything.
