One of my favorite memories of our move
last year was when people starting asking us
"So, what do you like to do in the summer?"
Our response was always,
"Uh....sit by the pool."
I mean, what else do you do in the summer???
Without dying of heat stroke?
That was when we learned about the fabled Seattle summers
of warm, yet mild sunny days.
And they have arrived!!
Yesterday was a real scorcher...
the forecast was a high of 86 so we figured we had
better get out and enjoy it.
One of our favorite sunny day activities is kayaking
and so we gave it a go on Lake Washington.
It was gorgeous.

The lake was packed with boats so we experienced our
first 'Cat 5' rapids!

We woke up this morning to sound of rain on the windows...
and it was the most relaxing sound to me.
I have actually missed the rain...strange I know.
