So I mentioned that I had the stomach bug last week...well, being the generous wife that I am I gave it to Brian. I am nothing if not generous!!
We disinfected the apartment, washed the sheets, opened the windows to air out the germs....we did everything we could think of over the weekend to keep Brian from but getting it, but alas it got him last night.
It started with the "Hmm...my stomach feels weird..."
Brian has a great immune system and never gets the stuff that I have...so we were optimistic that it was just some weird stomach feelings....but hours later he concluded that he had it...the achiness, fever and knowledge that undoubtedly you will be puking shortly.
We both knew where this would end...so being the good nurse I doped him up and sent him to bed....About 14 hours later he regained consciousness and concluded that maybe he felt a little better. Then he went back to sleep.
Hopefully the worst is over.
We think Brian picked up the bug at work, served as a nice carrier, gave it to me and then I promptly gave it right back.
Last night Brian declared, "This town is a bunch of sickos....the motto of Seattle should be...get your shots before you come here!!"
I got my Washington state license today...hooray!
I was working on my paperwork for my job today and was getting a form notarized.
The lady asked what the form was for, I explained that I was doing a travel nursing assignment and she said, "Oh....are you going to be, like, on a ship??"
Sigh...I am so misundestood.
